DLR - Langdon Park opening 10th December

Post by Soup Dragon »

Langdon Park is due to open on 10th December, therefore you have just 16 days left to attempt the current 38 station configuration before the new station opens and the slate is wiped clean. (parts of DLR are closed 8-9 December for engineering)

The current record is held by Ric Brackenbury with 1h46m55s.

Gordon Bennett, that's your worst performance? That's only two minutes away from the record!

After my dreary performance I headed on down to TV centre to watch a recording and bumped into some tube challengers. We turn up everywhere we do :)
Only good enough for 3rd place in the table and 29 seconds off your PB, you really are slipping! So who did you bump into, anyone we know?

Langdon Park looks very close to being ready now. Passed through there this afternoon on what is probably my last DLR before it opens. Unfortunately due to some poxy event at ExCel (The 3rd annual Global Peace and Unity Event) our train to Beckton was several minutes late which then meant it was impossible to make our scheduled KGV train. We started at Lewisham & finish at Bank in a time of 2:12:46. Now the big shock the team of 4 was as follows.... Antony, Phillip, Emma & ..... Sally Brown (my wife on her first.... and probably last challenge) :D

I was out on Saturday for an attempt got to KGV and managed to get a bus straight away, unfortunatly this took an age and I just missed my connection at Gallions Reach so I gave up. When I got to Tower Gateway on my way back I then noticed that the Jubilee line was suspended between Stratford and North Greenwich so wouldn't of got any records anyway!!

I have mentioned the possibility of Mrs Going Underground doing a tube challenge but I don't think there is much chance of this ever happening...
