I Give You The Christmas Park Challenge

Post by Dr Who »

There will be a challenge on Weds 20th Dec. to visit all the stations containing the word "Park"
There are 24 in total and a list and map is on the attached link... :D

http://pic5.piczo.com/tubedragon/?g=19510697

We will be meeting at Wimbledon Park being the nominated starting station at 1030hrs to commence by 1100hrs latest..

This was a challenge with a slight twist as you will see by the rules the plan is to take a scenic Christmas photo outside each station.. However as I estimate the challenge itself will take around 7 1/2 to 8 hours we can decide on the day by means of a vote if this is to be done or not...

We were then going to have a Circle Line party in the evening, but this is now not possible as I have to meet some friends in Amersham...

All are welcome to attend please be on Northbound platform at Wimbledon Park by 1030hrs if possible..... :D

CiN / GWR attempt was 17th Nov...
For which we have now raised over £2000 and money still coming in :D

Prior to that I was support team on a GWR attempt 27th Oct

Last Alternative challenge was the "Mouse" on 14th Oct, which included the interviews with the very lovely Margo from Russian BBC service :D

By the way Neil is there anyway you can move this topic from "Off Topic Chat" to "Alternative Challenge Chat" as it's in the wrong section...

Cheers

Neil, you will be very proud of me indeed.
I have to confess that last night I used a tube train as a form of public transport with no Challenges involved whatsoever. I travelled from Hatton Cross to Turnham Green to attend my companies Christmas Party. The only part of the journey that was remotely like a tube challenge was the change at Acton Town. As the Piccadilly line train approached a District line train was already in the station with doors open, I forced my colleagues to sprint across the platform for the the District line train and we made it with a second to spare. My colleagues could not understand the near orgasmic feeling of making such a great connection :D
One day I shall return!

I trust you were in the correct carriage and door position to alight by the "way out" at Turnham Green :P

***** wrote:I have to say out of all the new 'spin off' challenges that people have come up with seemingly for the sake of it, the 'PARK' one is actually quite interesting, and if I were anywhere near the tube next week, I'd probably have a crack at it.
Does that include the idea of jumping off and photographing the outside of each station as well, or just "visiting" in the normal way?
