It's in keeping with the rules, it's just an old picture (well, duh). You can probably work this out with reason and logic, if people want next week I'll post the logical path I came up with to pre-empt any arguments.
There are two obvious clues there too.

Is this a tube station?

It is now, but wasn't at the time the picture was taken.

And you're letting us National Rail geeks loose on it?

I got this one immediately, but only because I'd taken the exact same view (albeit during a spectacular Winter sunset).

The station is Canning Town, before it was refurbished into the monstrosity we all know and love.

The sole wrong answer (which may see the post above edited) was Starkey, who guessed it was the Overground part of Blackhorse Road (a suggestion I might use in the future when I'm feeling devious). The original picture can be found
here .

How embarrassing! I still reckon that they look exactly the same, except for the platform layout. As in, the skyline is similar.

I guess that some railway geek somewhere might point out that the line in the picture is third rail electrified while, to the best of my knowledge, the GOBLIN has never been electrified.

As a railway geek I might point out that Canning Town is nowhere near, nor has ever been anywhere near the GOBLIN.

As a games geek, I can point out that Goblins can be killed with a +2 mace.

Is that the mace you spray in their face?

In any case, my actual strategy for solving this relied more on the store locator provided by Wickes' website than on any subtle obervations about electrification or otherwise.
