I just tried Sir Scrivs R15 generator, no fixed starting stations and no closed stations it gave me;
North Acton
Stratford
Caledonian Road
Wood Green
London Bridge
Canning Town
Hanger Lane
Kensington (Olympia)
West Acton
King's Cross St. Pancras
Brent Cross
Leyton
Notting Hill Gate
West Brompton
Gunnersbury

The Central Line plays a starring role.

It does on this configuration, who knows what the generator will throw up next time....

Hangar Lane and West Acton, Kensington (Olympia) and West Brompton - plenty of one-stop connections too!

Indeed, I think this selection would have been most acceptable......

If you were to include Z3 stations I think you'd either need to start earlier or restrict the amount of time people spend undertaking the challenge (similar to the 4 hour cut off at Z1 Day). Otherwise if we started at 1300, with the majority of people coming back with times in the region of 4 hours 30 minutes, there would be significantly less time in the pub.

... or reduce the number of stations from 15 to 12 or so.

Its a fair point, I would say 12:00 start time then.

With this Z3 option, it seems that we are close to nearly every R15 round having a twist, why not go the whole hog...
Soup Dragon wrote:Round 1 - July, includes 25 DLR stations in Z1/2. (need to decide ruling on Bank DLR)
Round 2 - September, will start at Aldwych as the first of 15 stations.
Round 3 - November, normal round
Round 4 - January, normal round
Round 5 - March, to include LO stations in Z1/2. (need to decide ruling on stations sharing LU and LO)
Round 6 - May, normal round
So with only three normal rounds left, Z3 would take one of those, if we came up with one more twist we could cover Nov and Jan and then I'd vote to leave Round 6 just as a normal round.

Anytime is fine for me of course some people have to travel further. There will still be plenty of time at the pub, I don't think you can "CAP" the time on this and people get to the pub at different times now and start drinking / darts straight away
We are only talking about Z3 for one round anyway so I dont think an extra hour or so will really matter.... Another idea from the Soup Dragon a R15 visiting only stations in Z2 / Z3

There you go then another twist would be the Z2 / Z3 R15, would you be allowed to travel / pass through Z1 though

Matt's Generator came up with this for Z2/3
Upton Park
Hampstead
Bethnal Green
Kensal Green
West Brompton
West Acton
North Ealing
Goldhawk Road
Latimer Road
West Ham
Earl's Court
Clapham North
Wood Lane
Manor House
Bounds Green
Restricting Zone 1 travel could be an option although Hakan comes up with an average time of 4:22:08 and a worse case scenario of 5:13:30 and that presumably allows travel into Zone 1, so I'm not sure if restricting Z1 travel would make the challenge too long.

Yeah I think the Z1 restriction was very much tongue in cheek, as was possibly a Z2 / Z3 challenge only.....
But if the majority agree I don't see any harm with a round that includes Z3........

I'm sure the BERC will be along soon to dictate what will happen.

How about a Random 15 where every challenger has to carry a backpack full of bricks?
