Looking back this sounds interesting, so I would like to take part. Would prefer the Friday I think, but could be persuaded otherwise :D
Held some Alternative Challenge records for a long time.
Doesn't any more.

OK Al, we will see who else shows an interest, of course we will be going to the pub afterwards as usual... 8)

I'm new at all this (pauses for shouts of welcome) but I'd be interested in this too; again half term is fine by me :)

Just as long as you don't mind a TC N00b around slowing you down  I've been thinking of doing the full challenge for charity for a couple of years now, but think I could probably do with some experience behind me first...
Attempts: 2 (17h38m, 238 stations) (unknown, 200 stations); Completions: 0; GWR: 0; PBs: 0.

Due to work, unless it occurs during the school holidays it's a no-go for me I'm afraid...

Welcome RichieG :P

If you fancy the Z1 / Z2 then keep an eye on this topic.. Hopefully there will be a bit more interest between now and half term week so we can have a few teams racing around...

Unfortunately I can't really afford any time off from work at the moment. This is one challenge that I've always fancied doing as it would invlove a lot of interesting connections that you don't normally use in the full network challenge. Z1/2 has approx half the number of stations of the full network and I would think it would take between 7-8 hours to complete.
One day I shall return!

I would be interested in doing this but am not sure if I can get any time off work in half-term. Perhaps a weekend would be better?

Sure I am open to suggestions, would like as many as possible to particpate... As this was Soup Dragon's initial idea perhaps he could come up with a date......

How long do people think this would take? If a good Z1 times is Sub 3 hour, I think it would be difficult to get a Sub 6 hour on this!!

 I know as a beginner I don't (or at least shouldn't...) really have much of a say but HT is the best time for me... and I know I'm in London from the Wednesday of that week (I had already pretty much set the Friday in stone... probably a mistake  )

Definitely more than 6 hours. My first attempt at a route is 7:24 in theory.
