I recall that there was a proposal, some years ago, to rename the 'Monument' platforms 'Bank', given that the whole station complex is managed as one. However - and fortunately - common-sense prevailed, and 'Monument' remains 'Monument'. Much potential confusion was thereby avoided!
Charing Cross is interesting - two separate stations - Trafalgar Square and Strand - joined together by the Jubilee line platforms and the whole lot renamed 'Charing Cross' - only, some years later, for the Jubilee line to stop going there (except for empty stock reversals or in dire emergency)! It is a bit of a trek along the subway connection between the Bakerloo and Northern line platforms. (That which was 'Charing Cross' became 'Embankment' at the same time).
Roger.

Running with a heavy suitcase along that subway at Charing Cross sounds like a 'tube challenge' in itself!
