I think it's fairly safe to add my name to the list now. Route planning for this certainly is interesting...

I've calculated that I will probably be able to be around in the pub between about 6 and 8:15-8:30ish on Wednesday, however, if there won't be anybody there until 8ish, then it would make more sense to give it a miss!

I'm in, but only for the challenge. Darts is a maybe depending on what time we finish.

Is everyone aware of this?
BAKERLOO LINE: Saturday 26 December until Sunday 3 January, suspended between Queens Park and Stonebridge Park.
LONDON OVERGROUND: Monday 28 December until Friday 1 January, suspended between Harrow & Wealdstone and Queen's Park.
It doesn't make the challenge impossible, just a bit more difficult, and longer.
By the by, what kind of estimated completion times are people expecting? I've never planned a route for this before, so it'd be useful to see what the target time might be.

I've been looking at possible openings, they always seem to take me back onto exactly the same train... Very frustrating. I'm finding it hard to believe how slow these estimated bus journey times can be...

Looking at the weather today I am pleased the 30th won the vote over the 29th, lets hope it's a better day tomorrow

I will probably take part in the challenge... and so will my father. He's been keen to do a challenge with me for a while, and as I'm not in the UK too often these days, he didn't want to miss this opportunity.
I suggested that the two of us could be on a team together (and I don't think it'd be a disaster if it ends up that way), but he would prefer some other people to team up with. Judging my the small number of attendees so far, it may be impractical to get more people to go around with us as well.
I shan't add our names to the list just yet, because I'm not 100% about it, but it seems likely.
It would be great if you can make it as we haven't seen you in a long while.... I am guessing your Dad is probably around my age anyway and Tube Challenge has no barriers in that respect

Urgh, I've just realised that both Belsize Park and Tufnell Park are both lift stations
There goes my dreams of a quick double-back...

I will probably be at the pub around 6:30 along with Dr Who and Beer Baron. We only need 4 members of the forum present and the results count towards TCDL 2010!

1. 7:46:54 Peter Smythe (Wimbledon Park)
2. 7:48:35 Kevin Brown, Steven Karahan, Matt Nunn (Woodside Park)
3. 8:14:?? Martin Hazel (Moor Park)

5. 8:47:19 Oliver & Mark Lewisohn (Moor Park)

At least we weren't last...
The route was good, I think, although had I not been with my dad, I would have saved some time by making more runs. We had bad luck with two bus connections, one from Finsbury Park and another from Canons - both times we were waiting for about fifteen minutes.
Still, my dad and I both had a lot of fun, and it was good to see a few old and a few new faces.
