Well found away of getting to Exeter earlier giving myself 40 mins from station to Parkrun. It just involves a coach at 4 am.

No run for me today. Finished work at 03.15, so didn't fancy getting up again at 07.45.

Actually went to parkrun for the first time in months today
Went to Fulham Palace, a nice 3 lapper that is not too busy, very much recommended!
No pb but a fast time (for me) 22:30.
Need to run more!!!

Yes, running more, especially parkruns, is a good thing!Tube.b wrote:Actually went to parkrun for the first time in months today

Many of the Tube Challenge parkrun crew went to Fulham Palace back in March. It's a nice run, but quite narrow on the stretch alongside the Thames.
Slightly faster plodding on Southsea promenade for me today.

Re: Tube Challenge parkrun league...
Very pleased with my run at Horsham yesterday, on a new course with no km markers and high percentage of the route on grass. I Didn't expect a PB but with a few hundred meters to go my stopwatch indicated that a PB was within my grasp. Gave it the beans on the slight downhill into the finishing funnel and somehow managed to shave 6 seconds off my previous best, coming home in 36th position in 22:03. (age graded at 66.89%). After I got my breath back went to find Kevin on his final lap and tried to pace him home, he managed 30:23 picking off at least 5 runners with his finishing sprint. I honestly don't think I can go much quicker and it will be at least another six weeks before I can have another crack.
One day I shall return!

Re: Tube Challenge parkrun league...
And we have an update to the spreadsheet. Tractakid gets a big PB, and scrxisi becomes the first person to run a Parkrun overseas, in Australia of all places.

The age grading for Tractakid (53.33%) and me (66.89%) have also improved, that moves Tractakid up one position ahead of *****tubeguru wrote:And we have an update to the spreadsheet. Tractakid gets a big PB, and scrxisi becomes the first person to run a Parkrun overseas, in Australia of all places.
