Hi fellow tube challengers!

I'm a 21 year old student living in Wembley (Easy links to Amersham for the start of my challenge) . I have wanted to do the challenge for years after reading about it in the world record book and I am finally getting round to planning my route. I wrote my log book today!

What advice do you have for a first time challenger?
What day of the week should I do it on?
What should I take with me on the day?

what day of the week should i do it on? monday to friday for record purposes i personally prefer mondays but wednesdays are good.

what should i take with me on the day? a camera,a notebook,spare pens possibly food and drink (not my advice though)

what advice do you have for a first time tube challenger? dont listen to neil.

Thanks for your help. Is there a PDF with a list of all 270 stations on it? I just wrote out my route and only 262 stations came up.

i suspect that your find that u probably only wrote edgware road once paddington once hammersmith once etc?

no but edgware rd there are 2 bakerloo and circle/hammersmith and city
paddington 2 bakerloo and H&c three if you counted the district as well
hammersmith 2 h&c and district so that is an extra 4 at least

Edgware Road is split into Edgware Road (Bakerloo) and Edgware Road (Circle, District, Hammersmith and City), on opposite sides of the Westway. Hammersmith is split into Hammersmith (Circle, Hammersmith and City) and Hammersmith (District, Piccadilly), with a shopping centre in the way. Paddington is split into Paddington (Bakerloo, Circle, District) and Paddington (Circle, Hammersmith and City), at opposite ends of the NR station.

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_Lo ... d_stations is a list. However, it doesn't have the double Paddington - remember you MUST visit both the H&C station and the Bakerloo/Circle/District station.

That should get you up to 265. Other things you might have missed:
- Mill Hill East
- Jubilee Line extension
- Bank and Monument are two different stations, you have to visit both of them
- West Harrow
- Olympia
- Highbury and Islington
- Chiswick Park
- White City and Wood Lane have to be separately visited
- West Kensington
- Aldgate

yep u missed one hammersmith and one paddington

you do realise that the labyrinth route will compromise you per kensington olympia? seeing as me and steveo are the route originators of it!its a good route and should get u a good time regardless of whether u visit ken o or not?

You've also got two Kilburns, and are missing a South Kensington.

Now I can plan my route in more depth

If I don't make it to Ken then so be it, I would be happy with 269 on a first attempt!
