Hey, this is a Tube Challenge, not a speed date.
Well, there will be a fair amount of speed on the day, as well as (hopefully) a bit of ecstasy.

If in doubt, they sell alcohol on board.A2 wrote:I'm probably going to be hanging around until I need to leave to catch a train back to Birmingham (probably the 19:40)
Anyone got any thoughts or cautionary tales on how much alcohol its safe to consume before boarding a wobbling Pendolino for an hour or so?

What would be really good would be this:
a) Adham does a feature on the Z1C day on his show
b) someone sets their computer, at home or at the pub meet, to record the show (it is broadcast over the internet at sureradio.com)
c) Adham phones me or someone else and I pass the phone around between the challengers.
That would be good.

Chilterns don't tilt either! They do vibrate a lot at every station, if you find that at all exciting.A2 wrote:You mean they're meant to be flat on that bit between Rugby and Milton Keynes/Tring?moley wrote:Just be glad that the Pendolinos don't tilt south of Birmingham!
Change of plans, I'm taking Chiltern :p
The platforms at the stations south of MK are so mis-aligned to the rails, the trains are always tilting anyway, and that includes Silverlink! I used to live in Berkhamsted.
