thats true it doesnt show you can go hsk on a district very strange but then again run it why not probably faster.

That's what I figured, but can't work out why it's not showing the Wimbleware. I'm assuming that the HSK isn't shown because the new timetable and event timetable won't be a High Street to Olympia shuttle, but ones extended from wherever.

Next week (i.e the first week of the new timetable) sees the International Horse Show at Olympia. Having just checked the journey planner, it would appear that the special exhibition service is running every day except Monday.

The London Chess Classic is going until Monday 12 so I wonder why they would put in a new timetable during an event, or does that not count?

Because timetable changes always happen on most of the NR network, and on the tube, on 12/13th December and May.

i want to know how TfL/LU are publicising this. there should be a very obvous sign/display up at Earls' Court telling you if the Olympia shuttle is running or not. and they should publicise it in advance too on their website (and not by having to plunder journey planner and working it out for yourself). if it's going to be restricted - tell people how & when!

Presumably it'll be announced in the Traffic Circular for staff purposes. As for public information, I'd guess it'll be station posters and announcements or hunting around in Journey Planner, with the eventual aim of killing off the service completely due to lack of passengers...not that I'm at all cynical.

Similarly for Turnham Green. No good saying "early mornings and late evenings" - how late is late?! If I'm at Hammersmith at 10:26pm will my train stop at TG?

Just setting the journey planner to the settings:

- From Kensington (Olympia) to Earl's Court in the middle of the day would let you know if the speical service is running

Many, many, many years ago I used to live at Turnham Green - so if I was at Hammersmith around 10.30ish I would ask the train driver if he was stopping at Turnham Green. On one occasion, he confirmed he was, but he had already shut the passenger doors, so he let me get in his drivers cab - the one and only time in my life that I've ever had such a ride. I suspect that no driver would dare do that now.

When supporting one Andi's attempts earlier this year he managed to get a ride in the the drivers cab between Chesham and Chalfont. I wasn't with him when the doors closed at Chesham which lead me thinking that wasn't on the train!

the second time i have luckily been able to look ahead it be a tremendous advantage for tube challengers take moor park u could see whether its worth it running or anywhere really.to be honest i dont know why some fit tube driver actually doesnt attempt it he even have the luxury of no driver changes he could even arrange a possible for example west ruislip to epping driving the train himself on a challenge opening the doors for only seconds at a time and at epping there is a driver waiting to take his train on and a driver waiting to take him out of there lol.
