In danger of being off topic I do wonder why the media never once asked Andi for an interview/advice regarding captain chaos. Instead they ask two former holders! If I was Andi I would be right royaly f****** pissed off! Though after 30 seconds of speaking to Andi you know he couldn't go 5 minutes without swearing of saying a number between 1-10 when any member of the female species walks past
Can we keep this one back on topic now folks? Olympia shuttle, in case you've forgotten ...

And I've never seen a ban on a public forum ever working. You wont change Andi by banning him, infact you will simply renenforce his views on this forum and its moderators.

OK, here's my take on it, as we're not moving on.

Andi is a strange character. One minute he claims he's leaving the forum for good, and then he's back being rude with impunity. His behaviour has become more erratic over time, and he has developed personal issues with some people. I have always tried to be fair to Andi, and I've occasionally encouraged him privately to calm down and keep personal stuff off the forum.

Tonight's outburst was a bit sudden, and is no doubt a result of Andi having a chip on his shoulder about all manner of things which have nothing to do with trying to visit all 270 tube stations in the fastest time.

Myles, you are no doubt correct - banning Andi won't change him, but I'd like to think it will give him a chance to calm down and HOPEFULLY come back with a more sedate outlook on things.

The next Erotica exhibition is November 23-25, according to a programme I've just found on a train.

Might help with planning attempts...or Christmas presents, if your family are really laid back.

Tractakid - I believe the northern line closure at TCR is due to be over in the next few weeks, I think the map says "late 2011"

Baron's Court and West Ken are about 1km away from Olympia, okay you need to allow for time to get out of the BC/WK and into Olympia (Olympia is surface level so that doesn't take long). If you know the route well and are a reasonable runner that should be ok as long as the train's not delayed.

Not sure how many people know of this site but:

www.mapmyrun.com

is a useful site for measuring on foot stuff :)

The main problem in my experience is the waiting time to cross Talgarth Road. The traffic is continuous at any time of day and you can't risk it until the lights change, which can waste several minutes.

I did look at Street view and assessed the crossing, I think luck may come into the situation a bit!

Alternatively, change at Mile End and get the central to Shepherds Bush and run down from there.

There's an overground train from there (SB) to Olympia - haven't looked at the timings though.

Problem is it would be a mad dash over the bridge from the southbound Overground or Southern service. I would much rather get one of these trains from West Brompton as its cross platform onto the Olimpia Service, especially if its a tight change.
