As I am sick and tired of all the secrecy around full network attempts these days, I thought I would state that Matthew, Al and I will be going out to get attempt to get the record on Monday 26th September! Chesham start, Heathrow finish.
Geoff was challenged to a race but I think he's too scared of the competition

I'd love to take you on for a race on the 26th, but I don't think I can get out of a commitment for that day. I was also planning my next attempt for sometime that week, or even possibly the week before, but at the moment am holding back slightly on confirming the date. I'm a bit worried that last week's effort has aggravated a long-standing knee injury which means I may need to cut back my plans for challenges this autumn to allow time for it to setttle.
Anyway I admire your openness, I do believe that tube challenging is also a great spectator sport (from the comfort of monitoring a Twitter feed). In my view, the key to a good route is exactly how you join up the various bits - it's not about knowing what order you happen to do particular extremities. Anyway a good challenger has to be flexible to change according to circumstances on the day. Too much secrecy just leads to suspicion.
Once I've decided when I'm going out again I'll let you all know.

I'm affriad that some of our ("Geoff's") team are on holiday on that date - otherwise I'm sure we'd have been up for a race.

I feel I know where a lot of this negativity started, and I am frankly bemused as to how it's got to a certain level of bickering.
Come on people, let's just calm it down a bit, or you'll make me cry.
I'm sure we all wonder what the point of this forum is sometimes.
No one is compelled to open it in their web browser. If you're that bothered by it then do what Geoff and Andi did and go off in a huff and er, never come back.
