Yep, I am currently planning a record attempt with no previous attempts made. I thought of doing it a couple of years ago but its only recently that I have done some research and realised that its a popular challenge with deditated websites and this forum!!!
Was a daunting thought at first knowing that it took the current record holders 7 attempts before getting the world record but now I think it just makes it more appealing.
heh, it didn't take steven karahan or jack welsby 7 attempts to get it though, they both hit it on the first try. geoff and neil were just slightly more... unfortunate
heathrow T4 is making any record breaking practically impossible at the moment though, sadly.
Ukončete, prosíme, vystup a nastup, dveře se zavirají
From my experience it is possible to do exactly the same route a number of times and get anything between a very good time or not finishing at all. It comes down to how well the service is running generally. Factors such as signal failures, speed restrictions and one unders cannot be accounted for in any plan.
Well I think I will hold off until Queensway is open anyway because I want to break the record for 275 stations (unless it still counts as a world record with Qway closed).
Queensway counts. It's Terminal 4 that doesn't count. Well it does, but you've got to do it by bus, making it more difficult. You just need to pass through Queensway though.
1) Kinda wanna pass first term of medical school thanks very much
2) Brrrr, it's freezing, you really think I can run in this? I can barely row...
Oh, and i'm still waiting to get on Geoff's website after he told me he's pruning his 'Challenge History' pages down to people who've actually managed a full challenge...
