Good luck to you all. Sorry to hear about your knee, Nozza.

Wish I could be there, but have an exciting late shift at work to do instead :(

I look forward to seeing what updates are forthcoming during the day from the different teams :)

I met with the Browns at Finchley Central where they seemed to be about 20 mins down. A very slow bus from High Barnet to Cockfosters kept them about on time. I left at Holborn, where they had a sexy change for what they hope will be a good Hainault loop.

Now, for a bit of real work before rejoining a group later...

All teams are back in, two aborted, one completed. I spent most of the day with the Browns, before stepping back a few trains to join Sam and Matt.

A few great changes today, and a few rather amazing service gaps.

The teams will know better though.

Team James report Andi,Steveoo and Mullardo we were the only team to run out of North Harrow towards Rayners Lane And i could have even got the other teams train as it was sat at Rayners Lane so i know they made it but it was packed to the gills.

We had some quick changes 16s at Preston Road the others teams waited 14 mins  a few changes that didnt go quite to plan but me and steveoo were running at half our capacity to keep James company on the runs so we know we can do a lot quicker.

All in all we had a good day it was impossible to complete down to t4 after a delayed start but we had fun in all i raised £175 pounds from my sponsors which i have sent off today.

Indeed, team James (x2) & Steve decided on an early abort in order to give Andi and myself plenty of time to get back to Amersham to collect our cars via the pub for a rather nice pint.

We had some good bits during the day, including Andi getting told off by a District Line driver at Earl's Court - she announces "This is a District Line train, please stand clear of the doors." to which Andi replies "Ok, and what's your number?!". Being in the front carriage at the time, the next thing we know the drivers door is opened and she's glaring at Andi asking him "You got something to say? Keep your comments to yourself OK?". Brilliant. Think we also possibly set the record for the most number of falls in an attempt, I had a couple and Andi had several too, I think Mullardo was the only one that returned unscathed.

Twas a shame that the early problems on the Met prevented a decent race taking place, would have been quite exciting getting to T5 to see which place each team had finished.

I think you'll find that Team James were NOT the only team to go to Rayners Lane... I believe we just missed the train that you must have boarded.

Good points include, a perfect Olympia, a perfect Mill Hill East, an above average loop, an amazing bus journey at Edgware.

Bad points, well, the slowest moving Picadilly line train in the world ever known to mankind, passenger alarm at Gloucester Road, waiting for 15 minutes at Upminster (so much for a high frequency line :(), a massive wait at Uxbridge for the wrong train anyway in the end and to top it off, Cannon Street had just closed.

In the end after much debate between myself and Matt, we were both feeling a bit demoralised so aborted once again at Hammersmith.

It was a shame in the end, because things were going pretty well considering the start and with the good luck we were getting, we were starting to believe, ah well, one day, one day :)

No, it is not impossible thank you.

We were RIGHT behind them, i'm surprised they didn't see us.

I did see an unhappy James most of the way to Rayners Lane and yes we took the Pic line as did you...

Unfortunately having eyes in the back of my head isn't a skill that I have yet developed, and I didn't really fancy running backwards to Rayners Lane, hence why I didn't see either of you! :P

And unhappy James? How could he be unhappy with me motivating him all the way to Rayners Lane? ;)
