3rd Annual Park Challenge - Tuesday 23rd Dec

Post by Going Underground »

This years Annual Park Challenge wil take place on Tuesday 23rd Dec....

The starting station this year will be Elm PARK ...So you can start planning your routes now....

A map detailing the 24 stations and the rules (forget the comment about Regents Park being closed) can be found on the link below.....

Remember you must either arrive or depart at every PARK station by tube and also take an external picture of the station as well, so don't forget your camera (or sketch pad)

Your stopwatch starts at the same time you take your first external photo, so who has the nerve to leave it as late as possible before rushing to the platform to board the first train

The challenge will start at 11:30hrs so please be at Elm Park in good time.....

As usual we will meet for post-challenge refreshements at The Horse & Groom in Great Portland St.

Please confirm if you will be attending :D

I afraid I cannot come to this as I will be at my Aunt's for a family Christmas in the middle of Wales, nine miles from the nearest rail station!!

This is a Central line train to "Woodford via Hainault"- sadly, not no more!

I'm considering giving this one a go. I can almost guarantee that if i don't i'll just be sat bored at home, so it's a strong possibility. Plus i can probably drive over to Upminster to get to the start. Bugger it, I'm there. I don't mind joining either team, who wants me? :P

scrxisi wrote:In addition to the 24 bonafide parks, there is only one other tube station containing the letters P,A,R and K in that order. Anyone?

(i'm not suggesting we visit it by the way, it just exists)

I have got my travelcard for tomorrow already, origin station of Turkey Street to once again tie in with the Chistmas theme. And I'll actually use it this year...
Well Dr Who and myself visited 26 Park Stations last year, we ticked off Wanstead and Woodgrange on our travels...... :P And still whooped the other team 8)
