It's really hard to play a solid Z1C strategy when a novice keeps playing irrationally (seemingly random, albeit quite cleverly so)...

Countering both South Wimbledon and Ladbroke Grove is really hard - but I think a superconnected move like this will do for now:

I wasn't expecting Ladbrodke Grove. I'd have had my mortgage on Ealing Broadway.

Tubeguru, you're right! It must have been years since I saw Ladbroke Grove played this early in a game. Interesting though!

Blake Hall? That was banned in the fifties after the triple murder that took place when the subsequent player played M...n C...t! Anyway I'm not falling into that trap. I simply go for:
