Tube Olympics 2026: Event 3- Mouse Challenge

Post by tangy »

Event 3 of Tube Olympics 2026 is a Mouse challenge. This will take place on Monday 16th February 2026

The Mouse consists of visiting all stations on and within both Central London branches of the Northern Line using standard Tube Challenge rules. If you are unsure of which stations are included in the Mouse please see http://www.explorerticket.co.uk/tubecha ... erules.htm

Start station is EUSTON SQUARE for an 18:30 start. Please can we meet up beforehand outside the Gower Street entrance by 18:25. We then head down to the Tube platforms, same rules apply as for the Zone 1 challenge, you may start on your chosen train AFTER 18:30:00 hours (using the clock on the next train screen).

The current Olympic record for this event is 01:37:25 set in 2010.

For clarification, if you have a route that passes through Euston Square twice you can reset the clock at your first unique station (and register a faster time) but this time will only count towards the league tables on Explorer Ticket. The awarding of medals will be judged on the first initial start of your stopwatch at Euston Square.

After the challenge, meet up will be at our usual haunt, The Blue Posts in Newman Street for awarding of medals.

Competitors for this please make yourself known...

I had an awful time on the mouse and seeing as I was on the winners train I thought screw this i need a beer.

Starting off at Euston square I decided on getting off at kings x bad decision as northern line I was held over 4 mins at old st for no reason. Moorgate then up to Farringdon for 1 on my favourite runs to chancery lane. Another horrible waiting 4 mins here for eastbound to st Paul's and then ran through to monument instead of cannon street as I had not researched it i dont think it would have changed the train as arriving at monument with a 6 minute wait. Embankment I can hear tangy voice in the background so f tell him to shut up.

Did a lambeth n db to Waterloo then london br Kennington where joined by Andy js and tangy whom split up their routes around that southern bit.

So it was a matter of whom got to Camden Town 1st and then both did so seeing as I didn't know where pub was I abandoned the rest of the pic and went to the pub.
