I thought to post this here for anyone who is interested.
I have been chosen amongst people to organise/host the 'inaugural' round of the SWR challenge which is simply a Random 15 style event to visit 15 random stations on the SWR network in london zones 1-6 in 5 hours from an envelope.
It will take place on Saturday 19th April 2025 at 1030 local time starting at London Waterloo.
Anyone is free to attend if they like; if interested please PM me an email or WhatsApp linked phone numer so I can send through more thorough details.

Re: 2025 SWR Challenge
To whom it may concern:
The 2025 SWR Challenge took place at 1050 on the 19th April 2025.There was a 20 min delay in the start due to trains being cancelled on arrival to London Waterloo. There were 5 competitors. The challenge was suspended at 0250 hours elapsed due to severe delays on the SWR network as well as multiple closures - the decision was made by all competitors; those who didn't visit 10 stations being declared as not finishing. A follow up event may be scheduled later in the year.
The stations in the draw were:
London Waterloo (National Rail)
Motspur Park
Norbiton
Feltham
Earlsfield
Brentford
Kingston
Mortlake
Kew Bridge
Queenstown Road
Putney
Richmond
New Malden
Isleworth
Worcester Park
There official results are:
1) MUADH ZEROUAL - 11/15 - Putney - 025326
DNF) OLIVER GIBBONS
DNF) LUKA STEFANOVIC
DNF) DONEL MULUMBA
DNF) DYLAN LOWSON-ROSE
I have heard of others expressing interest to make this challenge involve all UK SWR stations with a time limit of 12 hours in potential future editions.

Re: 2025 SWR Challenge
If you try and do the whole SWR network it may work out quite expensive! There isn't any rover ticket that covers the whole network.

And isn’t the ‘SWR network’ theoretically disappearing next month?

Re: 2025 SWR Challenge
Do you know which operators do provide rover tickets for the whole network? This could create some interesting challenges on large networks.greatkingrat wrote: ↑21 Apr 2025, 13:58 If you try and do the whole SWR network it may work out quite expensive! It will always be the SWR in our hearts (:

Re: 2025 SWR Challenge
Unfortunately I think the announcement of this event got lost among the writeups of the previous weekend's R15, which, along with the short notice, may have meant few people took part.
The more notice you can give for these event, the more likely it is people can take part.
