I recently decided to try my first challenge: The DLR. My route was Lewisham>Bank>Tower Gateway>Beckton>Bus across to King George V>Woolwich Arsenal>Canning Town>Stratford International>Stratford>All Saints. Everything was alright except for a major hang-up at Bank. I took the District line to Tower Hill and ran to Tower Gateway from there, but the whole thing took 20 minutes. Was it just bad timing, or is there a better way? I'm going to re-attempt my challenge this week.
Just bad timing, because Tower Gateway gets only 6 trains per hour and Bank substantially more it's always worth checking the boards at Shadwell to see whether it would be faster to drop back onto a Tower train and do Tower first (then Bank)...
All London buses: 23 hours 25 minutes (with Adham, David, Josh and Tangy)
Holds some alternative challenge records. Not sure which ones.

That guy who runs those Twitter polls about tube stations and London Boroughs.
