In thinking of a venue for a post race meeting - some of the contestants may be under ' drinking age ' ( is that possible in this benighted country of ours ) . I'll be competing with my 8 year old grandson and I'd hate him to be barred from a bar.
The post race venue have already confirmed that under 18's will be allowed in the room we have booked upstairs..... That was one of the criteria we always try to meet when organising the Z1 venue......

Welcome to the forum and hopefully look forward to meeting you on the day :D

Sure, I'm up for a Finnish team. There might even be a little Nordic rivalry with the Swedes!

We can shout at each other in a language no-one else understands - could be a tactical advantage.
Om ni talar på svenska så ska jag förstå!

Don't use that online translator! I'd get a better translation from a slice of bread. I'd imagine you'd want to say something like:

Titta på mig med den här gratis översättaren!

I don't know what any country is sending and I almost certainly won't be watching it. What's the appeal? Actually I admit it is quite funny watching countries vote in blocs, because it is so predictable.

My brother is ridiculously consumed by it also, and he absolutely loathes Terry Wogan for "ruining" it.

Oh yes we do have a few members who love Eurovison (and a fair few who hate it as well!)
We already have a seperate topic set up in Off Topic Chat where you can share you views on this years contest:

Sorry for the double post...

Does anyone know of any good, cheap accommodation that I could use if I decide to come down for the Thursday too?

I can confirm that I will actually be taking part in this year's challenge (am I crazy or what?)

If Hakan is still agreeable I'm happy to draw the starting station again. I won't cheat as there are far too many people who are now younger and more determined to win that I am these days.

Hopefully I will be bringing along a +1 if I can find someone suitable so mark two more down as taking part if you will.

I don't think that someone taking part should draw the starting station.
