Believe me, when you've done it once and got the record, your motivation wanes.
Mine's virtually all gone. Sam and Steve may well find that themselves if they hang on to it for a few months.
Once you've done it, you'ved done it! No need to prove it to yourself again.

In which case I bow to tubeguru and yourself too. I would never manage that time!

Chris,
If you wish to go out and try and break the record, that is up to you, you will need your own route though and the way we see it, what is the point in doing it again... whilst we have the record, there is no point!!!
Sam!!! (on Steeevooo's computer, couldn't be bothered to log him out and me in

Now then, this whole "using the route of someone who has already broken the record" ...
It's contentious. I would have been unhappy if the helper from our record run used that route for his own gain. Mind you, there are better routes to be used, so maybe he wouldn't do so well if he did it himself.
There is a huge sense of achievement if you get a record using your own route. Simply using someone else's route is unfulfilling and is lazy.
Would you feel that you'd cheated yourself if you simply took their route and ran it yourself? I know I would.

Well here were are with the points of technicality over whether the route 'belongs' to anyone...
Considering Sam, Steve and myself used that route on two previous occasions for world record attempts - it couldn't necessarily be considered that i'm a helper using the route for his own gain. I consider myself a team member who was unable to make the attempt on the day (and sadly missed out on a world record for himself as well) but it's hardly fair to say after putting in a lot of ground work with the logistics and planning over two previous attempts AND assisting them with this record attempt that I am now no longer allowed to attempt it using this particular route.
Oh, and another thing - I give Steve full credit for devising almost all of this route, with a couple of minor tweaks by myself. Therefore, had I been there on the day with my teammates, would it be 'unfulfilling and lazy' to use Steve's route? Personally, I feel that this route is collective property amongst the three of us.
