The Marshall-Blake era is over!!

The world record was smashed by over an hour last Monday and now stands at 17 hrs 10mins 49 seconds.

May I congratulate the new record holder........********.

I'm sure Guinness confirming it is merely a formality ;)

You may congratulate the new record holder - when there is one.

I do not believe this for one minute and really can't even be bothered to even tell ******** where to go.

He mentions that it is not G & N's route - he doesn't know their route!

I would also go as far as saying that 17 hours 10 minutes is not possible. Not considering that Brixton was closed - and the replacement bus service WOULD have to have been used.

I also see ******** is going for an all lines challenge on the 20th, hmmm, might be a rather slow attempt, about 4 and a half months before he can do the W&C, which also confirms the lies about his 275 due to the constant announcements about no service which sent a shiver down on my spine as I always expected some other doom and gloom on the network.

Emmmm......

Well being a mere novice at tubechallenge I dont know a great deal about ********, is he even a member of this forum, I cant see him on the memberlist :?:
Perhaps some can enlighten me......

******** was a member for a brief period a couple of months ago. He made a number of absurd claims regarding what he could do, or have done for him, on the Tube, claimed to break records, and so on. He set up a series of websites whose content consisted entirely of that on the equivalent Wikipedia page. He claimed to own Freewebs. He claimed to have a web design company.

He is a liar, a thief and a scoundrel.

his ideas for a record attempt included a driver change at a disused station so that he could run from there.

I emailed him ...

Me:

I hear congratulations are in order for beating our record.

Naturally, you will now send all of your evidence off to Guinness and
await confirmation ... ?

Him:

noones beaten my record. this email is not for conversations. please do not replay.

this is a automatic email.

(Despite me having had a huge conversation with him using the same address). Doesn't this kid just crack you up?

Edit: I pointed out that we'd used the same automatic email address to have a huge conversation and he didn't realise it was me (despite my name being included in the header ...)

he claims 6380 people have visited his site (at the time of writing).
does freewebs have the ability to set a starting point (i.e. start at 6350)?

Probably.

I spoke with him some more and essentially he says he has got tube challenging out of his system now and that I should not email him any more and that he doesn't want me to contact Guinness to see if he has claimed the record.

He told me to wait until he "scanned in my certificate".

(That'll be the one Geoff hosted with our names removed and his pasted in, with the date changed then).

surely it is our duty to inform Guiness of this recordbreaking feat.

Seriously who verifies the record and evidence provided? Could we as a tube challenging community offer to check or audit any evidence that is provided, for example anyone who went to Brixton by bus this week (not me then).
