Mill Hill East changes!
From October this year it is very likely that the Mill Hill East service will be reduced to a shuttle from Finchley Central which will run every 13.5minutes. The train will probably be double ended for fast(ish) reversals at both ends. This may be during off-peak hours only. This should hopefully make the Mill Hill East service slightly more predictable, especially when the service has gone wonky earlier in the day.

I have a source that suggests that it may be a designated unit - possibly a shorter unit than the rest of the line - but he couldn't confirm anything.
I was also told that this was a test step to actually closing the line for an extended period. Possiblyy relaying or as a test bed for signalling works.

No, it never opened.
Correct me if I am wrong, but I seem to remeber that the whole 'Northern Heights' scheme would be more or less impossible, or at least too expensive, even if they did want to 're-open' it. Too much of the intended route has now been bisected by road developments, new build and deterioration of the old infrastructure.
