No (13/30)

  • Well, we're closing in. Kingston-upon-Hull is a remarkable city, with so much to see and do. Amongst the many places we've ruled out now are the railway station, Hull Truck Theatre, the Spurn Lightship, the Ferens Art Gallery, the Maritime Museum, the Wilberforce House Museum, the Wilberforce Monument, The Deep Aquarium, the Street Life Transport Museum, Princes Quay Shopping Centre, the Flood Barrier, the Hull and East Riding Museum and the WHSmith.

So just where was I one Saturday afternoon last August?

No (15/30) Keep going; there's potentially another 15 questions left to narrow me down!

Yes (16/30) If you're still stuck after one or two more questions, I may give a little hint.

Incidentally (continuing my "Go to Hull" campaign), another tourist attraction has now been ruled out - the Beverley Gate. It was here that the English Civil War was triggered in 1642. Sir John Hotham, the military governor appointed by Parliament, refused to let King Charles I enter Hull here, and Charles got a bit miffed by this. The rest is history...

But there are more places of interest in the small area of the city which you've got left to question me on.

West of Market Place?

No (17/30)

That's ruled out two more of Kingston-upon-Hull's multitudinous attractions:

  • * The "Hands on History" museum.
    * Holy Trinity Church - the largest parish church in England by floor area, featuring some of the finest medieval brickwork in the country.

Okay - a hint now. The world is a constantly changing place, and once something is published, it is often out of date soon. Your favourite on-line mapping application is no different...

I may update the hint later. :)

Are you ON Market Place?

I used Google Maps Streetview to go over everywhere you could be, despite your hint. There really doesn't seem to be anything NOT on Market Place.

  • To add to the hint now: Your favourite online mapping application can update its maps faster than its satellite/street-level imagery. See if you can spot any anomolies!

Are you at the new Scale Lane Bridge over the River Hull?
