Re: Which train service am I on?
If we ask the correct questions, the Yes/No possibilites could, in 20 questions, give a maximum of 1,048,576 different train services.
I'm sure there aren't that many which run each day, so theoretically it is possible in 20, with careful questions (i.e. not like mine in this thread )

I fear that some questions were wasted, and weren't worded to narrow things down enough.RobbieM wrote:If we ask the correct questions, the Yes/No possibilites could, in 20 questions, give a maximum of 1,048,576 different train services.

Then again, if you strike it very lucky, you can narrow it a huge amount very quickly. Which one of the 20 questions was most lucky, do people think?

Actually, at that point the other intercity TOCs had been virtually ruled out so Norwich was a fairly safe guess.

Re: Which train service am I on?
Maybe - I really lost the thread on this one, and should've probably stopped rushing into the wrong questions. Monday was a busy day...
Should we try another?

Re: Which train service am I on? (SUCCESS) (20)
Post script to this thread. I've just come back from 10 days in East Anglia, during which time I travelled virtually all the lines in the 'Anglia Rover' region.
This included going via Berney Arms. I'm very pleased that the 'request stop' didn't mean you had to either leave or join the train. They stopped the train for me just so that I could get out and take a photo of the station!
A nice touch. I wonder how many other people request to stop here just for a photo.
