That was fun - very pleased to have beaten 3 hours for Zone 1, despite not being very confident with the starting station.
I'll provide a fuller write up later, but may not get chance until Sunday - a busy evening & tomorrow.

Can anyone quickly provide bare details for those of us who weren't there, such as start station, winners and winning time?

Re: Zone 1 2012 - Friday 8th June
No doubt official results will come later, but start station was Aldgate East, winner was Andi in a time of about 2:48/2:49 I think. All very close at the top - not much separating a large number of teams.uefacup81 wrote:Can anyone quickly provide bare details for those of us who weren't there, such as start station, winners and winning time?

Re: Zone 1 2012 - Friday 8th June
5 of us tied for 4th on the same train. Managed to keep up with Andi until the last train, having been a train behind 3 times. Thanks Garion, ever so much, for taking me round with the winning route, despite finishing a train later. 2:52:59 was the time, Aldgate East to Aldgate. Really fun day, really really great to meet you guys, and really glad to start with a sub 3h time. Thanks Myles, for organising, Andi for doing the quiz, and everyone else too, for being awesome.

Re: Zone 1 2012 - Friday 8th June
Well done Andi on the victory and congratulations to all those who took part. Would have loved to join you all but another day working in Hammersmith did me in. I only have to put up with it for another 9.5 weeks and then it's goodbye to ANZ. Where do I apply to become a train driver?

How difficult can it be? I can push a trolley around Tesco without crashing into anyone so surely I can drive a train?

Re: Zone 1 2012 - Friday 8th June
If your doing it "proper" world cup style then its 3 wins with the new cup. For example Germany/West Germany and Italy have won the world cup 3 and 4 times respectively but havn't kept the cup.scrxisi wrote:See, I can't do a shop without having a coming together with a small child, the Paxo stand or another trolley.
Anyway, well done to Andi - does he now need one more win to claim the new trophy for keeps (his third victory ever), or another two (his third win of *this* trophy)?
