Given that I go to college in Barnet, I can see myself having a very long weekend...

Not for where I wanna go.

The article's been updated now, and they HAVE suspended it.
(it was only a 'possibility' when I first posted it)

I'll give it a day or two before resorting to finding an alternative journey..

Anyone know what the story behind the story is on this one? Or just chronic underfunding blah blah blah....

I cycled into church today and had the worst journey ever, the roads were so full of cars. Hope the Northern line gets sorted soon.

I wouldn't even consider cycling in to King's from beyond Manor House... because I don't want to die! Luckily the Piccadilly line is working as usual though. I have sympathy for those on the Northern line.

It's about time someone got their arse in gear and actually DID something about the state of the Tube.

What are the odds of it opening as a split service (like it did after the Camden Town incident). It worked so much better - at least from a Tube Challenge PoV.

According to a SA at Waterloo tonight - the first section to see service will be a Morden - Stockwell shuttle followed by a Shuttle on the High Barnet branch

There's a whole bunch of shuttles all over the place.

But I still took the day off.

It was too good an opportunity for a lazy day!

Arrrgh! It's official - the entire country is now saying "a whole bunch of" when really they just mean "many". Damn you, America.

As it happens, I was at Camden Town the other day and as I wearily trudged down to the southbound platforms knowing full well I would end up on the wrong one for my Bank branch train, I noticed that they have indeed split them up again.

The sign for Platform 4 had "Bank" on it and Platform 2 had "Charing Cross" on it. Also, a brief look at that monitor that they have on the wall at the bottom of the spiral staircase showed that all trains were going via the same route from each platform.

I'm surprised no else has noticed this.

That's been a result of various bollock-ups over the last fortnight.

Alot of the time, Bank Branch trains have only gone to High Barnet/MHE and Charing Cross Branch to Edgware.

Oh, and the replacement bus service is shiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiitttt.

The standard service pattern when a split service is in opperation is supposed to be:

Edgware-Bank-Morden and HB/MHE-CharingX-Kennington

however the northern branches seem to be reversed at the moment.

Update from 6pm:
Edgware - Charing Cross - Kennington shuttles at 5-10min frequency in opperation tonight.

Finchley Central-Bank-Tooting Broadway's in operation tomorrow/today/Monday/whenever.

Which is good. Means I can get to Balham on Tuesday evening- hurrah!

Though I may need to get a bus from Barnet to Finchley Central.. Bollocks..

Coming down here to beautiful Balham?

Any reason, or just for sightseeing?
