WIP (Work In Progress)

Well, after an hour sat here with a tube map and Windows Paint, here's what I've come up with. By no means will this work, but I'm hopeful. ;)

Station (Interchange & Notes)

List removed whilst being redone. :)

I'd call this route pretty ambitious :)

You do a lot of long stretches of double backs, these'd add considerable amounts of time to your journey (you can cut many of them with very useful bus links).

I also think your finish would be at Regent's Park, since you've already done the section of the central line between Oxford Circus and White City earlier in the route? (between West Ruislip and Holborn?)

Ah, well a finish at Regent's Park will do then. ;)

And as I don't know London's bus network, there is lots of double-backing as you point out.

But this is just a route to test things out and give me a taster of the challenge and also a chance to decide wether I want to do it again afterwards! :|

This page is incredibly useful - http://www.tfl.gov.uk/gettingaround/9440.aspx

I've been pouring over them for the upcoming Xmas Parks challenge. (Woodside Park is a pain to try and route in!)

Well, it is called the "Tube Challenge" isn't it? ;)

Also, Aldgate will be covered on the section....

Tower Hill (Circle Line)
Farringdon (Hammersmith & City Line)

Also, a minorly revised list is now available with a bit of bus travel. :)

My first thought, before looking any further than the second line, was "Why start at Tottenham Hale if you're going to double back from Walthamstow - why not start at Walthamstow?"

Something different ;)

No, I'm taking into account where I can to, I may start at W Central if I can get there. ;)

But you'll be going to Walthamstow Central first anyway - why not just start your route from there? You do know that you don't have to start on the first train of the day?

I know that, but I'd rather start at the first chance in case something goes horribly wrong en-route. Which it most likely will ;)

I'm just planning the easiest route for me for now. Besides, has anyone started their attempt from Tottenham Hale before? :)

Yes it was confusing that u put tower hill not aldgate instead as Steve says u might as well start the watch at Walthamstow u save 15 mins off ur final time.I can honestly say u be the 1st to start at Tottenham Hale the only other challenger this would benefit is probably Tangy

Sorry, I'm just putting up interchanges and station where I turn around and head back. Also apon the advice of the pros. (yourselfs) I'll still be on the first train out of Tottenham Hale, but will start the attempt at W Central. :)

Just need a date now....

At the risk of being patronising, get a list of all 270 stations in alphabetical order. When you have got your finalised route, trace it through on the map and tick off each station as you pass through it. If and only if all stations are ticked off would it be a suitable route. The reason for the list being alphabetical is that it effectively shuffles all the stations, forcing you to check every one off manually as I've described. You can easily spot if any have been missed, and if any have been, it's not a GWR route.
