Ah yes, let's predict what's going to happen over 17 races by making our ill-informed and biased decisions right after the first one ...
I'm going to wait until the first three races are over, and the FIA has heard the appeal against the rear diffuser issue before I make any kind of prediction.

It seems that the diffuser row will probably be "diffused" by the time it gets to appeal.
Mclaren seem to be developing their own and Red Bull / Torro Rosso seem to be considering it. It is at the end of the day a case of those who read the regs and understood them gained the most - those who didn't, winge.
BrawnGP will do well in the next couple of races - probably but by the time we reach Spain the like of Mclaren, Ferrari etc will have the new style diffuser ready to go.
That said, any car running KERS will have an advantage at Malaysia as they can potentially exit the twisty corners quicker.

It's irrelevant that you're a Hamilton fan.
You don't have to feel guilty for struggling over reconciling your support for him with the fact that McLaren's actions were tantamount to cheating. I consider it all part of the shenanigans of the various teams who are annoyed because they didn't interpret the technical regulations to their advantage vis a vis with regard to rear diffusers.
Ferrari choose to protest them, McLaren choose to try to pull the wool over the FIA's eyes to get an extra point. F1 is nothing if not predictable.

You might find the following interesting from the FIA's website.
It's a full explanation of their decision, as well as two audio clips which contradict what Hamilton told the race stewards after the race.

I'm sure some LH fans will still have their rose tinted specs on and won't be able to see what he has done wrong....

I think the gripe here is that Hamilton fans are asking WHY the stewards were prompted into looking at this affair again, when in the past other incidents have been dealt with and stayed dealt with.
Toyota appealed the decision to demote Trulli and give Hamilton third place, but they subsequently withdrew the appeal. You would therefore think that the FIA would not bother investigating further, but someone somewhere has stirred it up a bit by pointing to the interview Hamilton gave after the race and also the recording of the radio messages between him and the team.
