I can think of sillier reasons...Changing at somewhere like Cockfosters or Arsenal just because they've got rude names (if your mind runs on innuendo)...
Cheers,

It probably is a daft idea, but that's what I really love about the London Underground - the architecture of stations The Piccadilly line at its extremities in general and, more recently of course, the Jubilee line extension... some of those stations are absolutely breathtaking

And send it soaring high above you, for all to read!

I'm always stunned by Westminster, Canary Wharf and North Greenwich, personally. (Go to the Favourite station thread in "Tube Challenge Chat")
Just joined this forum but have long been aware that Epping takes AGES to get to (thank goodness we don't have to go to Ongar any more!) so my first thought was to start there. Problem seems to be that you'd have to start a bit later, as the first train from Woodford around the loop isn't until 06:25, so it seems that I will need to go to Epping and back again. Or is it advisable to try and get a bus from somewhere to Walthamstow - in fact there is a bus from Debden (number 20) - though it takes nearly an hour! Other possibilities are W12 from South Woodford/Snaresbrook or 275 from Woodford. Any thoughts?
not exactly sure of the route number, I think it's W15 or something from Leytonstone which means that you don't miss Snaresbrook/South Woodford. It takes 10-15 minutes.
lol the cockfosters attempt was when I was spotty teenager and the only way of starting somewhere was to start close to home and finish close to home. craziest start point ever i think!
