Yes that is a good point we really need to know what time we are starting.
Also it would be great if you came along and filmed the days events, I Know Soup Dragon was thinking of investing in a new video camera that uses DVD instead of tape to film the day but not sure if he still is?

I will try - my video camera records direct to hard drive. Whilst you can't produce a DVD on the go - you can video for about 30 hours (if the battery lasts that long - which it don't).

I think soup dragon is working on some estimated timings this week, so once we have a rough idea of when we will be in the vacinty of the clubs I dont mind contacting some of them.....

OK I have taken into account Dr Who's route and a few of the suggestions others have thrown in. Im allowing approx 15 minutes once we arrive at each ground to have our kick-about before we continue on to the next ground. I personally think we need to start at around 8am, on this basis here are the approx timings:

08:00 WATFORD
 Watford High Street  Willesden Junction
09:25 QPR
 Shepherds Bush  Hammersmith  Earls Ct  Fulham Bway
10:15 CHELSKI
 Putney Bridge
10:55 FULHAM
 Putney
11:40 BRENTFORD
 Clapham Junction  Thornton Heath
13:00 CRYSTAL PALACE
 Thornton Heath :arrow:South Bermondsey
14:10 MILLWALL
 London Bridge
15:05 CHARLTON
 N.Greenwich (by bus) West Ham  Upton Park
16:05 WEST HAM
 Dagenham East
16:55 DAGENHAM & REDBRIDGE
 Barking  Leyton Midland Road  bus to Leyton O
18:05 LEYTON ORIENT
 Hackney Downs (by Bus) White Hart Lane
19:15 SPURS
 Seven Sisters  Finsbury Park  Arsenal
19:50 ARSENAL
 Finsbury Park  New Barnet  bus to Barnet FC
20:40 BARNET

So from this planned route you can see a few ideas that I've added.
1. Charlton to North Greenwich, bus 161 or 486, looks better option than taking DLR from Greenwich.
2. Barking to Leyton Midland Road, seems quickest way to get from Dagenham over to Leyton, services are every 15 mins but journey time only 12 mins.
3. Finsbury Park to New Barnet, could work really well, train only takes 14 mins and then plenty of buses towards Barnet FC, only problem is half hourly service.

So roughly we are looking at 12-13 hours challenge! :D

Oh great Millwall at 14:10 hrs, works out well for the 15:00 kick off

OK I will try and contact some of the clubs, I believe that we have already been in touch with the Daggers and the Bees... Have any of the others been contacted at all?

I guess we could try and start earlier to avoid Millwall just before kick off.
Perhap we should start at 07.00 to make the most of the daylight hours?
What does everyone think about the start time, how early can everyone get up to Watford?

I think we should srcap the 2 car plan whatever happens, no point in leaving a car at Barnet is only going to add time before we start.....

Well assuming there is a spare seat in the soupmobile I can make anytime, but in all probability are we still going be on schedule when we get to Millwall anyway :?:
It may well be that if we start at 0800hrs we might get to Millwall while the game is taking place, which would be ok.....

I am happy to start at either time......

To be honest guys it aint gonna make a lot of odds either way, 13:10 or 14:10 they are still gonna be congregating around the pubs near the ground etc.....

OK here is the Sport Relief team page for anyone who wants to join the team and start raising cash. Please can people either post here or PM me if they are taking part, or hoping to take part.

I had a call this evening from a another forum member who reckons we might be able to get pitchside at White Hart Lane, but we would need to reverse the route to make Spurs the 3rd visit. I will try and see how timings work out, we could then try to aim to get the 07:47 from New Barnet to Finsbury Park. I'll run the reverse route through journey planner.

In the meantime we need volunteers to do some research on door positions, station exits and quickest routes to each ground, with two weekends to go there isn't much time and unfortunately I've got to make a trip to NZ.

If anyone already knows the correct exits etc... or would like to do some research please let me know.

Cheers Antony
