Although the 'language' of the Clangers was played on swannee whistles, in order to give a rhythm to what the characters were saying, their lines were 'scripted' in English.

I don't think France originated in Germany!

This is something that was invented by an Italian living in a German city, and named after that city, but in French. English also uses the French name, though we pronounce it differently.

Was going on the fact that "Francia" (named in Latin), was the area that is southern France and eastern Germany.
