Not sure I will be able to do any prior research
I've got six runs and a bus!

Runs that I could get lost on, I don't have a clue on door positions, departing NR train destinations or platforms in the Terminus... I wouldn't worry too much plenty can go wrong on this one

I'm planning to do a dress rehearsal of my current route on Friday (and probably research later this month)

Remember, the best carriage for a terminus is the one at the front.
I think I'll be fine with my 3 runs as one I've already done on a challenge, one I know well and the third is up a straight road.
Other than that, I am relying on my phone for door positions (as I have a Windows Phone, I am using Exits Expert London Lite), and am looking up likely platforms before I go (especially for Victoria and London Bridge!!)

Does anyone know of any such apps for Samsung devices? I am yet to find one, but may be searching for the wrong thing...

What about cider instead? If I can't find an app, I'll probably go out and do research on Friday and at the start of my Easter hols

Not always, I can think of one that's actually at the back...

fenchurch street going in would be better not at the front and i think west croydon allthough not a terminus technically would be better at back for tram

Fenchurch Street depends which direction you're coming from. If running from Bank, Moorgate or Aldgate, the front is better.

Isn't Tower Hill closer?

Yes, it is, but it's only best if you're making your way from a District Line eastbound. From the Metropolitan Line, Central Line or Northern Line, it's much better to head to Bank or Aldgate respectively, and it can be faster to get out at Monument and head up Fenchurch Street itself instead of heading through the back streets.
It's a bit like Euston Square, which is traditionally connected with Euston, but Warren Street is actually closer, and West Ruislip being close to both Ickenham and Ruislip.
