Personally I think we've said about all we can say on this subject. It's really pointless hassling Guinness and asking them to add more rules or to clarify rules. As Steven Karaghan points out regarding Shoreditch, although Guinness told some people they must visit Shoreditch they never bothered amending the rules which allowed the debate to rumble for a couple of years.

The only way that we could get Guinness to adopt a revised set of rules would be to suggest to Guinness that this forum act as the governing body for this record (as the IAAF act for athletics) but then the whole thing then becomes to serious and we would have to form a committee and have meetings...etc...etc... :roll:

Quite right. I'm not too sure about this forum acting as a governing body in any way either. Don't put ideas in people's heads! :roll:

So unless anyone else has any more hairbrained theories to put forward I'm tempted to lock this thread.
