I think I will impose a minimum 2-point claim for the next game. As AC and I have both discovered, if you get a 1-point claim in near the end of the minute then it's practically impossible to defeat it. It takes away the element of risk, which is what Grumbleweed was supposed to be about.

Or here's another option: we could play Grumbleweed in seconds rather than minutes. I've just worked out how to change the board preferences so that they show timestamps to the nearest second. That could be a lot of fun!

Yes, but once you've worked out what the difference is you can factor it into your calculations! It's worked for me during this game - I've only had four 1-point claims defeated (when AC was being particularly keen).
