Good work, we might as well contact all the clubs incl. Spurs & Chelski you never know you luck....... :)

OK possible route discussed with Soup Dragon and Dr Who was a "Horseshoe"
Leaving a car at High Barnet we then head to/meet at Watford, order of grounds as follows
Watford  QPR  Brentford  Fulham/Chelsea or vice a versa  Crystal Palace  Millwall  Charlton  West Ham :D/Dagenham or vice a versa  Orient  Spurs  Arsenal  High Barnet..... (Hope that all the teams covered)

So all we need now is the perfect route, taking into account tubes, buses, national rail, DLR, trams & river boats and a starting time..... We can then estimate a rough time that we will be at each ground :D

We also need to find out all the planned engineering works taking place that weekend on tube & national rail.......

What I would suggest then is we do QPR then head down to Chelsea, Fulham then make are way across to Brentford on SWT & back out again over to Crystal Palace.

Brentford have responded as being away they are not sure of anybody being at the ground so we can ask if we find someone there.

Have just been looking at the National Rail links we will be using with the "Horseshoe" route and as far as I can work out there are no engineering works getting in are way. & trains seem to be quite regular in most places. :)

Route looks very good, only one problem I'd say is that you'd be better off for Crystal Palace to go from Clapham Junction to Crystal Palace itself and catch the bus from there (249 then 468) or at least do that on the return as there aren't any direct trains from Thornton Heath to South Bermondsey whereas there are 4 trains and hour from Crystal Palace to South Bermondsey. If you were to go from Thornton Heath to South Bermondsey, you'd have to go down to East Croydon, then wait for a half hourly service to South Bermondsey which would go through Crystal Palace anyway.

A few alternative routes to consider:

To get to Loftus Road, 220 bus from Willesden Junction looks quicker than going all the way in to Paddington.

From Craven Cottage, you might as well just walk straight to Putney NR. Getting on the District for one stop doesn't seem worth it.

As for Arsenal to Barnet you don't need to go to Finsbury Park. Just catch 43 or 271 from Holloway Road to Archway.

Leyton to Seven Sisters- right in my area of London.

Several options here:
--158 to Blackhorse Road or 69/97 to Walthamstow Central. Then Victoria line to Seven Sisters
--W15 to Hackney Downs then ONE train direct to White Hart Lane

This is a Central line train to "Woodford via Hainault"- sadly, not no more!

4 weeks to go until the challenge, the website for donations is now set up and I'll post the details here shortly. It allows people to join the team and get individual donations which go towards the teams total. Thanks to Jamie for the initial route and to others for chipping in with ideas. I'm on leave next week so this will give me some time to go through everything and try to come up with a rough timetable for the day. Over the next four weekends we could do with assinging people to go out and research certain bits of the route (or we could just wing it on the day!) Also we need to try and squeeze in a footie skills training session :D
One day I shall return!
