We had a similar story - we looked like we'd get sub 17 too and stumbled upon what should have been a 1 min onto a Ken O train, but the District line really cost us dear then and on the next few changes. We ended up with 17:18:18, a new PB for Glen, Andrew and myself and gave Rhys his first completion
Full Network: Three completions, Best time: 17:18:18 - thanks Glen, Andrew and Rhys!
Former DLR 45 station record holder (with Glen, Andi and Stevo) - 2h:08m:57s
All lines: 46:11 (6th equal)
Zone One 2:52:51 (thanks Glen)

I met someone on the RailUK challenge who apparently knows 'Trainboy98', so I asked him if he could find out anything about this mystery attempt.

Thanks for updating with yesterday's times.

I believe you actually have been knocked out of top ten to 11th place although i can neither confirm the date or time of this attempt took place and no its not a ******** 1 or 2 attempt.

Sam is in the top ten until someone publicly announces a faster time. I disagree with the concept of keeping times secret, and I hope that the attempt you mention is now revealed properly and fully.

Oh let me guess, it must be the elusive Adham Fisher. Well I'll take that with a pinch of salt :)

Marc Gawleys time was posted and VERIFIED by Guinness so yes, I trust it is valid.

As no time nor person, although is no doubt Adham has been posted then yes I will take that with a pinch of salt

but you miss the point sam gawley and adham treated same no was gawley ever criticised for not posting his time no he wasnt and in fact a lot of secrecy in routes and planning and times all came from his successful attempt! did a lot of people ask for his route well yes they did did he have a right to be secretive yes he did.

if i ever did decide to go out and possibly break my time would i reveal to this forum the day after that i had broke hell no not until that certificate was in my hands hell last time i thought we broke by 15 mins not 43 secs.

How do I miss the point exactly? You're posting that a time has been completed, yet are not willing to post the time, so you're better off saying NOTHING in the first place then causing aggro.
