London Football Ground Challenge - for Sport Relief
Looking at the map of where all 14 grounds are it seems its almost circular. So if you started at Watford for example the last football ground would be Brentford.Or if you started at Charlton the last ground would be Dagenham and Redbridge or West Ham or Millwall depending on clockwise or anti clockwise.
The advantage of starting at Charlton is that you dont have to cross the river unless someone wants to take the Woolwich ferry personally i have always wanted to go on it.
I am looking into pubs at all the finishing points to see which is the best one from the marathon drinkers site although it says they wouldnt recommend Dagenham & Redbridge nearest pub.

May as well join you on this challenge, even though football is not a big thing for me. I also agree that Watford should be included in this challenge.
Count me in. Need to get my Tube Challenge attempts started sometime this year!!

This is a Central line train to "Woodford via Hainault"- sadly, not no more!

charlton is 1 minute from charlton nr station
selhurst park is 3 minutes from norwood junction
millwall is a couple of minutes from south bermondsey
you could do those three together, then do west ham and daggers, arsenal and spurs, then go down to brentford chelsea qpr and fulham before going up to watford

*** UPDATE ***
Just 56 days to go until Sport Relief. According to the official site an Online Sponsorship page will soon be available which will allow us to publicise this challenge, and also allow team members to join the challenge. A summary of what we will be doing is as follows:
1. We will be visiting all 14 London Football League grounds (including Watford!!!)
2. We will be doing the challenge as one team.
3. At each ground we must perform a series of "Keepsie Upsies"
4. All people doing the challenge must wear a football shirt (preferably of a London team, but not essential)
5. We are raising money for "Sport Relief".
6. The challenge is on saturday 15th March
Still to be done...
a) Decide which ground we are starting at.
b) Plan the route, anyone interested in helping please let me know.
c) Get a decent Football!
d) Contact the clubs
e) Contact media (media whores only please!!!)
f) Practice our football skills!

i too am happy to help with a route if you need any. if there is a lot of us then it would be good to perhaps have a Voip conference or suchlike where we're all there to get all the specific arrangements when it gets close to the day (skype?).Going Underground wrote:I haven't even looked at a logistical route for this yet but I am more than happy to help out......Soup Dragon wrote: Still to be done...
