Yes indeed, we used the pub after the Cannon Street Run. It proved popular so we are back again.

Could I make a suggestion, in the interests of a punctual (i.e. 1230) start? Anyone who arrives after this time who is participating not only suffers a time penalty, but also has to get the beers in at the pub! I think this would be a suitable deterrent
Held some Alternative Challenge records for a long time.
Doesn't any more.

I can bring some sticky tape and if anyone is late I will stick an envelope for them on the entrance to Aldwych Station. If we all start our watches promptly at 12:30, the same will apply for anyone who hasn't made the start on time. A similar thing happened at Earls Court R15 when I couldn't make the start, I started about 20 minutes after everyone else and still came 3rd I think.

Well chaps, 24 hours and 10 minutes from now till we move ourselves between 15 tube stations. :)

I'm still coming and I'll wear a hat of some description. Also when I'm at Aldwych I might "Olly Olly Olly" just so you know! :D

I feel that I should apologise for not coming to the pub afterwards, it's not that I don't like you. I just couldn't find it! :(

But it was an appaling run from us with a time of 4h 27mins. :|

Then again, I did forget that we don't have to do the stops in order. :|

But either way it was a great day and I thank you guys for it. See you next time maybe.. :)

Yes, the pub was quite tucked away and tricky to find. Even when I did get there, I was wondering it it was the right pub!

Sorry to have missed you, but glad you managed to complete the set, even with the adverse start :)

I'm sure the BERC will be along with the full results in due course.

A very well attended event and a "kind" set of stations considering the closures....

Sorry to hear about Adam's slight misunderstaning of the format for visiting the stations and it's a shame we only really got to say "hello" and the pub proved tricky to find :(
I hope it hasn't but you off and hope you can get along next time...........

However your little "glitch" has given the BERC and others and idea... As you know we like to throw a "twist" into these R15's so we are maybe thinking about having a round where you DO have to visit them in strict order, possibly on the basis of a rally start... :D

I would certainly vote in favor of this

The R15 generator was very kind to us indeed and gave us the easiest set of stations so far. We started promptly at 12:30 (I think this was a first) and the stations drawn were: Aldwych (start), Warwick Ave, Euston, Bank, South Kensington, Russell Square, Bethnal Green, Westbourne Park, Green Park, Vauxhall, Paddington (BAK, CIR, DIS) Highbury & Islington, Lancaster Gate, Waterloo & Brixton.

The Results and Jokers (J) played are as follows:

1. 2:01:13 Peter Smyth (J)
1. 2:01:13 John Stark (J) & Antony Brown (J)
3. 2:18:36 Kevin Brown & Matthew Scrivin
4. 2:20:25 Richie Graham (J)
5. 2:30:16 Martin Hazel (J)
6. 2:30:34 Tom Wood & Hajime Urata
7. 2:32:55 Al Brown and Steve Karahan
8. 4:27:00 Adam & Ian Jones

Current table after 2 rounds:
1. 30pts Antony Brown (J)
2. 23pts Tom Wood (J)
3. 22pts Al Brown (J) & Steve Karahan (J)
5. 20pts Peter Smyth (J), John Stark (J) & Phil Young (J)
8. 14pts Richie Graham (J)
9. 11pts Kevin Brown & Matthew Scrivin
11. 8pts Martin Hazel (J)
12. 5pts Ryan Brown
13. 4pts Hassan Chagani
14. 3pts Hajime Urata
15. 1pt Adam & Ian Jones

Well, it was great to say "hello" but it would have been even better to say "goodbye" as well #laughs#

And shouldn't we get bonus points for coming last by milles!! :D

ah well, hopefully I'll use my joker next time as long as the lost running around Paddington doesn't mess our time by more than 10 minutes... so next round is somewhere around december?
