Re: Tube Challenge parkrun league...
Thanks for the congratulations. Hopefully will have it below 40 minutes in a couple of weeks. I had a parkrun tourist in my ear the last 1k with encouragement. I full on sprinted the last 75 meters just to beat him!

Just been catching up on who has done what time and where. I have to say Neil that's a cracking time on that course especially at this time of year.tubeguru wrote:New PB for me today - 25:15.

Well, I thought that too - it felt like a slowish run to me. I doubt I'll better it this weekend, but I'm going to give it a good go.nozzacook wrote:Just been catching up on who has done what time and where. If you wanted a faster flatter course you could try Exeter Riverside.

I'm saving Exeter for when I've got some more speed up. Then I can go for a massive PB.

Yep, a new PB of 24:24 for me today. God knows how, as I felt knackered. And my best finishing position of 41st too.

Did a good-enough-for-a-day-after-a-full-network time at Cassiobury
then had a cooked breakfast at the Cha cafe.

Well done to Nozza and tubeguru.
I was one of the post-FNC bunch at Fulham Palace. I was a bit slow, but I really enjoyed the post-parkrun, pre-R15 breakfast.

Yep it was hard work after a FNC and next time I'm there I'll get up the front as course is a bit narrow and hard to pass people on first lap.

I always start at the front, as I like to see where I'm going through the muddiest first part of the meadow. Plus, I don't get mud kicked up into my face!

Re: Tube Challenge parkrun league...
Plans regarding 100th run changed again, so sorry if you were thinking about coming to MK on the 2nd of May. Now gunna be doing Conwy that day as I'm travelling up to Wales on the Friday with my Grandma. If the week after suits people that wanted to come I can do a spot of volunteering to postpone it a week.
Or the alternative is come up for my 99th run. I'm not that bothered by numerical milestones anyway!
