I had half thought about holding it on 12th April this year (2nd anniversary of Tim's death) but an opportunity arose for me to visit my parents who I hadn't seen since before the pandemic started and I didn't want to run the risk of picking the bug up before I went.

12th April 2023? That would make it the Wednesday after Easter.

I'll pencil it into my calendar 🙂

Just sorting out my London dates for the next few months.

Any thoughts on whether this will go ahead on Wednesday 12th April?

Edit: Or would it be better doing it on Saturday 15th April, so more people can attend?

Saturdays will run the risk of some stations being closed for engineering works.

Ah, yes, entire Bakerloo line due to be closed. So no Edgware Road or Warwick Avenue.

As you were then :D

Edgware Road will be open.

Just not both of them.

Is this definitely going ahead on Wednesday 12th April? Do we have a volunteer to organise it yet?

I should be in London that week, so hoping it goes ahead. Just realised that it'll still be school Easter holidays so tubes might be busier in the day, but may mean some of our younger members will be able to take part too.

@RJSRdg would you be interested in organising it, or shall we just cobble something together between interested parties?

Again, it depends a little on what happens over seeing my parents at Easter (which in turn might depend on what antics the RMT are up to by then....).

12th April is only 3 days after Easter Sunday so it's possible I may still be away. I'll have a think about it.

If it's too difficult for you, I don't mind organising something. I've not planned an organised challenge before but there's a first time for everything. We already have a date so that's one thing sorted...

There's the appropriately-named pub across the road from Mornington Crescent that would be good for the post-challenge meet up:

Apologies for the delay in replying.

I should now be around on 12th April, and could probably take the day off. However the question is how many others would be available to? (It's too long a challenge to do as an evening event).

Alternatively I'm free on the Saturday.

Had surgery yesterday to put my elbow back together, so I'm afraid I won't be able to take part. It's a shame as I was really looking forward to doing it. I shall have to start planning my route for it when it's the Cannon Street Run.

Good luck to those who do!

PS. Last time we checked the Saturday, the Bakerloo line had works planned, so Warwick Avenue and Edgware Road (B) were out.

I'm available. However...

It feels like it's just the 3 of us who are really interested in this, and East Action Woman is out of action. Is it worth waiting until next year? That would be a Friday, which might work better anyway so we might see a few more challengers.
