Re: Hopeful Traveller's All Lines Challenges
OK, I think I draw the line at FIVE separate threads for essentially the same thing. I have therefore merged the All Lines 2, 3, 4 and 5 threads into one thread (this one) and renamed it.
The posts from the four threads are in date order, so they may make no sense when re-read, but that's just the crazy way forums work. The original thread title is at the top of each post, so you can see where each one came from.
Carry on.

Re: Hopeful Traveller's All Lines Challenges
Now had I been paying attention I would have noticed that. However, as we had a million threads with the same title it was inevitable that I would assume you'd started it.
So it's quite clearly your fault that I merged it.

So, today. Provided the tube doesn't screw up, like it has this morning.

Good point. Maybe I should start moving stuff around a bit. That'll give me something to do later ...

Re: Hopeful Traveller's All Lines Challenges
I don't think this forum was ever intended to be only for full network attempts, although they have predominated recently. If you go to the oldest threads, most of them were about alternative challenges.

Re: Hopeful Traveller's All Lines Challenges
If you look in the "What is this section for?" thread, you'll see that I originally intended this section to be for the full network challenges, probably because there wasn't any interest in alternative challenges back then, or I didn't have any times from people.
Since then, this section has been used for all sorts of accounts of challenges, so on reflection I'm not going to go through here and remove stuff that isn't about a full network challenge just to be really anal about the categories of challenge.

Re: Hopeful Traveller's All Lines Challenges
This really is a non-discussion. You're the ones who moan at me when I get all anal about something, and here you are telling me what order to put the forums in. Chill, biatches.***** wrote:There's quite clearly:
Tube Challenge Chat - "Discuss the full Tube Challenge here"
and
Alternative Challenge Chat - "Zone 1, Alphabet, All Lines - discuss them here"
which are already perfect to do what they describe. just need to do a little jiggling to keep threads in the right place. it's my opinion that there's enough activity in both at the moment to keep them both going. and as a 'full challenge' snob, i know i can not bother to look in the alternative challenge section (as i often don't) and not miss anything.

You could always log in and click "view unread posts" on the forum's main page you know. Or shall I remove that feature because you don't use it?***** wrote: i know i can not bother to look in the alternative challenge section (as i often don't) and not miss anything.

Re: Hopeful Traveller's All Lines Challenges
I'm going to add my oar in here and suggest that the forums that we currently have are fine. What we should do better is kick topics into their correct categories.
People complain about the moderation and organisation on here - you should try districtdave's forum - that is a lot more actively moderated!

I agree with what you say about getting stuff into its correct forum, but let's not get too over-zealous. We've done alright for an internet forum as we approach our seventh birthday in January.

Sounds like a round of beers are in order........
more details to come in a few weeks.....
(yes very mysterious - but I don't want this to go too of-topic).
