Basingstoke for me after the strike messed up plans to meet Andy. As it turned out it all worked out fine. Pleased to get nearly exactly the same time as Hastings on a way trickier course.

The guy who won Salisbury (Harry Smith), is ranked 200th at 5k for 2022, his best time of the year is 14:45.

I managed my best ever finish, 2nd this week at Penryn Campus in 21:38, over 4 minutes behind 1st place.

Very hungover trot around Bevendean today, but I was first in my age group for the first time!

I'm staying in Tooting next Friday night, can anyway recommend a parkrun in that part of London?

Cheers Golf....!
It was the strangest feeling finally managing to claim the No. 1 token. For the entire run I couldn't quite believe I was at the front. Heartlands is a very twisty turny course so you get plenty of opportunities to see the chasing pack, I was expecting someone to start closing the gap, but as each lap passed the gap grew. Although I could have eased off at the end I pushed on to try and claim a "Course Wars" gold, but you still have that honour by 5 seconds!

I have now run Heartlands on three occasions and each time the course has been slightly different. I almost went wrong at the first turn (Ken's Corner), last time it was 180 degree turn, but this time only a 90 degree turn.

Well done Soup Dragon on 1st place. The only time I'll get my hands on a "0001" token is when I'm handing them out when volunteering!

Felixstowe for me this weekend - flat and a good surface, but way too hoy for my liking. Still beat my best time for years by a few seconds.

hove promenade and the case of the too fast pacer 21m over 100metres ahead at finish line but i was still 2 seconds inside at 20m 58s i knew he gone too fast so hot though couldnt get fresh air into lungs at all.

I know it's only a fun role and nobody should expect professional pacing, but Hove Prom should be piss easy to pace, unless there was a really strong wind.
Just run even splits and use a running watch to keep you in pace with the target time.
