Good news - my foot is better today and I think I'll be able to move at a reasonable pace tomorrow.
I'm not going for any records though - can't really be arsed ...

Well I don't generally carry a watch around - phone clock does the trick.
But I've just upgraded from a Nokia 3310 to a Sony P800 (oh yes, I'm up there with yesterday's latest technology, me), and I don't think that's got any form of stopwatch. But the Nokia has, so I'll probably charge that up and bring that along - should do the trick.

I've got a small fold-up clock with a seconds on.
It was a Christmas present, so now I can put it to proper use, instead of just having it sat on my computer desk!

Posting just to confirm my attendance for tomorrow- i will be happy for anyone not in a team to pair up with me (especially those unfamilar with the Tube).
I guess the meeting piint is still Oxford Circus, as there was talk earlier in the thread of changing it, don't want to miss this years event.

Email chris (address on the z1tc website) and he'll give you the details.

Thanks for that, hopefully I should get a reply by to be able to join in this events tomorrow.
I should of kept up to date sooner, rather than leaving it to the day before the event to confirm the meeting point...but fraid not everything else is ready, a couple of planned routes and my trusty Oyster card.
If anyone could email/PM the details over to me as well I would be grateful (address in my profile).

I just sat down over lunch and made a circular route to cover all eventualities.

I'm just going to blag it
I might work out a rough circular route like you've done, Neil, but I reckon it could be fun to just do it on the fly!

It's not PERFECTLY circular - one station has to be done by doubling back.
If that station is pulled out of the hat, I'm laughing

I still have my circular route from last time out, but it's rather inefficient so I'll probably blag one up on the day.

My route is a smorgasbord of past routes.
(I thought I'd never get that word into a concversation!)

I do have a travel-times map chopped down to Z1 only with run-routes (and one bus route) marked on it for route planning.

There's one section I would never change because it's the most efficient way of doing it - the trick is where to join it all together to fit the annoying stations like Russell Square and St Paul's etc in.
Most people have worked out how to do two of the main areas in Zone 1 now anyway so expect some similar starting routes ...
