I can drive to Bournemouth when I finish university at 5 on the Thursday And cool. Any toilet facilities in the Hatton Cross area?

All sorted staying heathrow T5 Travel lodge Thurs night will travel to hatton cross on first tube which should arrive HC 05.30

Will be being picked up from which ever finish station can give lifts back to heatrow area if necessary.

Costume will be hard work but have been training so should survive the day.

I've stayed at that Travelodge before for a FNC, and its miles away from T5. Does the shuttle bus start early enough for that 0530 train? As it is outside 'London' the taxis cost a fortune as well (I was quoted £50 for the 5 min journey when trying to return there!).

Don't want you to be stuck at the last minute!

Already checked first bus to T5 from hotel is 05.00 so should be fine.
Re checked with trevel lodge first bus is 05.00 cost £4.50 or Taxi Cost £11

Nothing really I have used the Air New Zeland offices approx 400 yards away in Radius Park but that may be tricky if Soup Dragon not around

Myself and scrixsskhjkbegi did that once at T123 supporting a Brown GWR, except I think we had about 15/20 minutes, however long it took to get round the T4 loop back then

I like greatkingrat's challenge best of all.

There are toilets at platform level at Terminal 5, depending on how long you've got for your turn around there.

Right just 2 weeks to go now everything set unfortunately we might be 1 woman down as Sara i dont think can recover in the time for this but we will see!

We have all the door positions team members for all tasks if im alone then me and Tangy will be the runners set off at the front.

I'm not going to do this now (due to procrastination, I haven't made any arrangements ).

Incidentally, I think a moderator needs to edit the first post of the thread and include the justgiving page and perhaps information such as agreed start place/time as this has become buried in the middle of this thread and difficult to find.

Edit: Just found out that I made my first donation.

I do agree with what Steveoo said earlier in that what should be the primary aim (to raise money for charity) seems to have been forgotten/relegated to lesser importance on the CiNs/Comic Releifs of late. I think next CiN we perhaps need a bit of a rethink and work out how to maximise the money raised, which is the most important thing. As it is, it's becoming, like Steveoo said, "just another excuse for a FNC".

Sorry I cannot agree that not having a competitive route compromises or detracts from the fact we are doing it for charity and in no way affects the way in which as individuals or as part of a group set up donation websites or contact friends and family. Over the last few years I have been out on every CiN and comic relief day and have took time out to e-mail works colleagues and other contacts as well as putting up posters and donation forms at my local club and workplace. I have raised several thousand pounds and if people know that I am actually trying to get around the network in the fastest possible time and that I am also giving some blood, sweat and tears on the way I think they are much more likely to put their hands in the pockets than if I just say "Oh I am sitting on tube trains all day on Friday if you would like to sponsor me"
The route we have come up with is NOT on GWR pace barring remarkable luck and allows us to finish at a reasonable time so we can at least hopefully complete a FNC. Why not log and take photos and get witness statements Again when speaking to "Joe Public" on the day they are far more interested in that fact that you are also trying to get a world record and again are far more likley to part with their hard earned cash.
As Andi will also tell you we have spent an awful lot of our own time over several weeks putting a route together that everyone should be able to cope with. All we ask is for as many people as possible to come along and enjoy the ride and have some fun on the day
Yes there is some running involved and sorry if this does hurt a little bit as well but all the timings are done at my pedestrian pace and nowhere near the the kind of speed that Andi and Steve would consider...
If you really want to come you have two weeks to make arrangements and if the running is a little bit daunting then you could always stay on the network and then meet up with us at various points along the way...

Comic Relief 2009 was a massive effort by all involved, the fund raising that went on was amazing and a good wedge of cash was raised.

2 weeks is ample time to make arrangements to take part.... but then again, it's easier to spout hot air then put actions into place isn't it...
