Did Das and Nick see each other at Southsea??
I have to admit that I didn't notice him. This may be because he saw me first.

First foray into parkrun tourism. Only up to Leamington, but it's a good scenic course with strong organisation. Thumbs up (apart from having broken my PB streak but hills and unfamiliarity will do that).

I must say the crowd at wanstead flats were not very talkative or welcoming and I thought pretty disorganised I'm sure Mr Andrew baker who was doing barcode scanning was far better. sorry I couldn't hang around Kevin and Nick but i had only 20 mins spare and bloody local whom I asked apparently only just around the corner from spoons, nah there ain't no whetherspoons around here mate.

Totally agree Andi..... Was very difficult to engage anyone in conversation There was no run brief for new runners and no course description or numbers of laps mentioned and for no apparent reason we were around 10 mins late off... If anyone there was a first timer or first time tourist I can only imagine that whole experience would had been off-putting to say the least.... Aside the lady handling out finish tokens, who did comment that I had come a long way from Bedfont (I did let her know others had travelled further

)
Maybe they don't get a lot of tourists / visitors, I don't really no but it didn't feel very welcoming....
91 parkrun events have been amazing, this experience was not so....

Update time:
https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/ ... sp=sharing
A PB for crypto puts him above me (booooo), and GU runs the best-named course of the day. Also, Nozza and Damian ran the course nearest to my house, and Nozza came within a second of his worst time. He just scraped inside it. I can only assume tractakid was tail-running, and that the last person was very slow ...

I've only allowed forum members, because that's what it started out as - a spreadsheet of forum members' Parkrun times.

Last week: watch time 28:14, parkrun time 27:59.
This week: watch time 27:41, parkrun time 27:56.
I guess it all evens out in the end.
Next week: Basingstoke, to run on their alternate course.

Damn, I'm still gonna be in Malta, I take it the alternate course is at War Memorial Park as well?

No. War Memorial Park is being used for an event so parkrun will be on an entirely separate course at the nearby Crabtree Plantation.
Also, although my email and text message this week both say 27:56, the results page has 27:42.
