Hmmm interesting - images on Tottenham Court Road are date July 2012, it looks fairly quiet and yet both Goodge ans Warren Street have the gates over the entrances - any ideas why?

I was about to say "unlikely" as there a quite a few people about, but on checking back the shots with a lot of people in were taken on a different day in 2008.

It could have been any number of reasons. We don't know what day the car went along TCR, so we'll never know.

I was confusing carriageway with lanes. I've been on the A38(M) loads of times; they change lanes available in each direction according to the time of day
