I think that is reasonable enough. They are unlikely to be of use to anyone in practice. Similarly, they don't bother showing the couple of direct trains from Rickmansworth to/from Croxley that run in the early morning/late night.

Those services are listed in the Metropolitan timetable booklets though - is there anything similar for Olympia? Also, if they're not going to advertise the services all, and if they are "unlikely to be of use to anyone in practice", then why run them at all?

Just to make Tube Challenging more "fun"?

They are mentioned in the leaflet Geoff referred to a few posts back:

Ignoring the sadly now-dashed Olympia branch, all of the various levels of disabled access indications create so much clutter, especially where some stations have more than one interchange sign - look at West Ham or Highbury & Islington for examples. Also, the "Emirates Air-Line" under construction, how sad that the tube map is selling out to commercialism.
I do agree about the cluttered map. The more information is inlaid upon it, the less clear (and therefore less useful it becomes). In poor light, or if the map ceases to be pristine (folded up to fit in a pocket, for example), it becomes unreadable. Surely, for the downloadable one, it would be possible to produce versions with and without the disabled access? After all, it is shown on the station index in any case.
As for selling out to commercialisation, the problem is that a legitimate, tube-served traffic objective (the Emirates Air Line, or come to that the O
2) has had its naming rights sold. You could equally complain about having a station called Kensington Olympia.

Tfl should demand an advertising fee for cockFOSTERS.

I have no issue with a tbe map showing disabled access being available.
However, the fact of the matter is that at least 90% of people aren't disabled, and therefore the extra information provided by the map is of no interest whatsoever. It's like detailing the locations of all the KFC's in the Good Food Guide.
The sensible option would be to provide a standard map, and one that shows disabled access for those that want it.

Sounds like an excellent idea Geoff. My pet hate is those suitcases that people wheel behind them - they stop at the top/bottom of escalators to fold the handle up/extend it and I often don't allow space for them in a crowd as I'm unaware they are there.
Just been looking at Ken O for Friday of next week mid afternoon. Seems like there's trains every twenty minutes - i.e. not as per the leaflet. What do people think? Is this a cock up or are they counting it as an extra busy day?

Is it because they will be running a Saturday service next week?

Looks like a cock up to me. If you look at TfL Christmas & New Year travel leaflet
http://www.tfl.gov.uk/assets/downloads/ ... eaflet.pdf then Kensington (Olympia) is described as closed on 30 December, as it is for all the other days between Christmas and New Year.

If a station is closed for an emergency or rebuilding that ok?
If a station closes earlier or open later than scheduled that's ok?

I can't find anything online either - JP hasn't got times up for January yet, I had a feeling there was a big expo on then but maybe I'm thinking of Earl's Court.
I think I'll try and reschedule to catch those late trains on the non-"busy expo" days but it does mean rejigging a route I was rather pleased with.

Canon Street now opens permanently on a Saturday however due to building and improvement work is currently temporailly closed on Saturdays.
