i have a few people asking me if the run will be cancelled now? I told them that I didnt think so but wasnt sure. It makes me even more angry and wanting to do it even more so.

I wouldn't expect the run to be cancelled. Not only is it to raise sponsorship, but to emphasise that London isn't afraid.
I'm getting the impression that today's events are just a very sick joke, but either way- we didn't let the events on the 7th scare us. We shouldn't let today's happenings do it either.

I think that I can speak on behalf of most people taking part in saying the following...
One of the main points of us as a group doing the whole system is give out the clear message that WE ARE NOT AFRAID! No matter how many times they bomb us they will not defeat us. We will go ahead with the day.

i am trying to rent a cell phone here that i can use in london. the rates seem reasonable with free incoming while in the uk and 45cents a min when dialing out.
can anyone give me an idea of a pay as you go phone to use? I may do that instead. I want something to keep in touch with ya'll if I am lost!

Yes! Even if we have some more scares on the day and LU end up closing the whole network as a result, we can always do a Bus/Boat Challenge instead...

Just remember to get your phone unlocked.
Otherwise, you could be stuffed..

I have a phone from my dept. I'll check on the card. I have been getting calls all day about the event and will I cancel. I said ABSOLUTELY NOT! I was going even if I was going solo and it took me all week!

Bravo!
Are there any plans for the after-event meetup, as my team WON'T be in Amersham the night before?

Upstairs at the pub near GPS tube that we use for the Zone 1 challenge?

mmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm..
pub..
Seriously, though. I was thinking maybe someone with the experience and organisational ability might want to, say, organise a party the week after..
Although the pub the night after would be a good wind-down opportunity, I suppose..

I just could not remember the name of the pub - never have managed it.

By any chance do these pubs let 17 year olds in? Also, is anyone willing to buy alcohol for us or are we stuck with water and juice?

I'm not aware of there being problems with 17 year olds.
Indeed Joy54 was served (coke) in the pub after the zone 1 challenge, although he did have a long wait.
As for drinking underage, tut tut. Don't ask - wait to be offered!
